Graduation Season

Another Thursday gone to photography was dedicated to Liezl and Val’s graduation portraits, we did a quick session at the park and a couple shots in studio for their session, it was really fun working with them, we ended up having alot of mutual friends who we literally went thru facebook stalking. Oh the power of facebook, how did i ever get around without it? Liezl is graduating in Kinesiology Physical Therapy and Val is graduating in my college, Business emphasis in Marketing both from Cal State San Bernardino. They brought letters so they could do some prop shots which were super cool and fun. Alwaysss always bring props to a fun shoot, it brings some versatility to the images, jus like Nai’s headphones and Macbook :) Thanks for asking me to take your grad portraits girls, I had a blast!

Men of the Year!

Whew! Its been a while since i’ve really been able to blog. This last week has been busy! So lets catch up on the pictures shall we? In no particular order i’ll start with Nai’s headshots. Nai wanted to get some really classy headshots taken to put on his website, Nai is in video production and does alot of editting and directing. He actually is a jack of all trades as he can do a little of everything. His site which will launch by the end of this month is www.thenaiproject.com where you will be able to see some of the shots i did of him. We approached the shoot with the idea of seeing the fun side of him, really showing his true personality with headphones and his beloved macbook. Then we eventually changed it up to show his serious side. I kept thinking Justin Timberlake when we did the final shots. Alot of this was possible because his stylist and good friend of mine Nino Llanera really put in some help on the creative direction. After the shoot a mutual friend Phillip Cendana created a mock GQ magazine cover. Phillip made this just with the picture and really created something special here. Thanks Phillip for the designers touch. All in all what a fun shoot. I personally loved the shots :)

eLOLOment Shootout

Lawrence and I gathered a bunch of photographers again to do a shootout at UCI, it was a great experience for everyone bringing together amateurs, hobbyists, and professionals alike. Our models were Jocely and Kevin, Dennis, Cindy, KJ, and George. I had a blast leading the group and showing everyone different techniques and styles. We’ll be hosting another shoot again sometime in the near future :) So keep close and go to the next one!
