One of the Last PCNs

Moving on from Thursday night, Friday was PCN day, I spent the entire day working on the previous days work, getting out to watch a PCN and shoot it was more of a break then anything else. I think after editting for hours on end, every photographer jus needs to get out there again with their camera and shoot. When i first started my business i noticed myself taking these long periods or stages if you will where i was honed onto a different subject and i focused only on that. In the beginning it was learning how to use my camera, then after that it was finding tricks to edit better, then i moved onto gear addiction (which was one of my worse stages but i’m glad i had it since now i know the difference between a good lens and a bad lens). After that i remember focusing solely on shooting as much as i could, then following as many blogs and websites i can find, then picking up a camera and strobes and exploring lighting. Then i remember not taking a picture in days just so i could focus on taking my business off the ground and marketing like crazy. I remember after that i focused alot on composition only afterwards, then natural light, (backwards with the strobes lol) and then finally versatility in being a strobist. I know i missed some stages but in each one of these “moments” or periods in my life, i only focused on that one thing to overall enhance my skills. When you focus on one thing too long, you end up missing or feeling lost in the fact that you havent shot, or shot in a certain way in a while. This is why sometimes i love overcast days where i could just enjoy shooting natural light anywhere at any time without worrying about lighting and only worrying about composition… Thats how its been this last weekend though and you’ll see in the pictures i took on Sunday.

Okok so i dont even know if any of that made any sense, im sure my english was all over the place and my thoughts were all jumbled, but either way, point was i got to attend Troy Highs PCN and take a break from editting. I met these guys at Lolo’s pre debut shoot for Pamela Mondejar. These girls and guys ended up being super cool and invited us to shoot their PCN. I’ve never seen a high school PCN but i must say it was totally comparable to many if not all college PCN’s, if not better. Great job to the cast and crew, i thoroughly enjoyed it :)

here are a few of the pictures from that PCN
