I got to relive some great high school memories when an old classmate Malia visited me with her fiance David. Malia and David are getting married in Laguna Beach in October and decided to do their e-session at Heritage Park in Cerritos. I really didn’t know anything about this park till I got there but heard it actually had a historical playground for kids to play in during the day. It was even surrounded by a moat and had the whole draw bridge entrance effect. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it before.
Unfortunately when we got there in the morning, the island was closed due to slippery grounds from the rain the night before. Just our luck right?! We ended up shooting all around the island and surprisingly got some great background shots with the architecture behind us. To be honest I’m really glad it was closed since I never really get to do those types of shots. At the end of our walk around, we decided to give the park staff one more shot at asking to get in, and lo-and-behold, eureka, we lucked out. We marched in and got to work. That next hour was full of some amazing stuff. I think these photos are wonderful and Malia and David were naturals. I couldn’t have asked for a better session, seriously.
As for the slideshow and song! There was a couple songs I wanted to use, Rest of my Life by Bruno Mars, or better yet Again by Bruno Mars (because of their awesome fail/successful day of engagement hahaa best story ever), But when I heard this song I just knew that it fit more. Malia moved out to Colorado after high school and will be moving to Wisconsin with David soon. I know that this song in someway would fit them a bit better. I enjoyed it and I hope you do too, OH and I hope you like the photos along the way :)
