Brian + Eileen | Wedding | Teasers

Here’s Part 2 of Brian and Eileen’s teasers. I don’t usually blog this many teasers but I had such a great time at Brian and Eileen’s wedding and I couldn’t narrow it down enough. So here are some of my favorite shots from the day. I did a few extra with just the guys because they ended up getting ready faster than the girls (it takes about 5 minutes for a guy to put on a tux!). We took advantage of this and went down to a really cool dive bar, Jakes, and attempted to wait for Ron Artest at Saladish. To no avail though, Ron showed up late and made our wait futile. The experience altogether though was great and I can’t wait to post the other photos of us “waiting” for Ron Ron. All in all it was such a beautiful wedding and I can’t wait to show you all these shots. But for now these will have to do. Eileen you looked radiant!

Please enjoy!

Eileen + Brian | Ring Shoes and Dress Teaser

Hello readers! Yesterday was Brian and Eileen’s big day and my team arrived early as Gaby was scheduled for make-up. This gave me some extra time to really focus on the little things in the morning like the details. I always like to think this is the best time to really let your creativity shine. Shooting a wedding can be predominantly candid and journalistic, but there are a few times when a photographer can really take things into his or her own hands. These details are a prime example, trying different things, things outside of the box, something that you don’t normally see. Especially with rings, shoes, and the dress, many times you see the same types of pictures, straight on, window light, low to the ground. Looking at things differently and creating something special will be very much appreciated, if not by your bride, at least by other photographers looking at your work. I like to find unique light, interesting environments, and different compositions. I always look for quirky or unique items and put them to use. Its easy for a photographer to get that creative block, so practicing on even your own with your own details over and over is the best way to start. Hope you like these detail teasers, I’ll be posting the real teasers soon.

Please enjoy!

Hien + Amber | Trash the Dress | Teasers 1

Wow! Today I went hiking for my first time in my entire life and as a newbie should, I got owned! But I have to admit it was entirely worth it because my couple was one of the bests. For months now i’ve been telling people how I wanted to shoot up in the mountains and last week I couldn’t have asked for a better answer. Hien and Amber have been wanting to do a Trash the Dress session in mother natures front doorstep ever since Hien proposed to Amber in the middle of the Sequoia Forest. These places have special meaning and what better than trash her beautiful dress here. Hien and Amber were down to do anything for the shot and I couldn’t have asked for a more down couple. I’m excited to show you this session thus, this will be a reoccurring project over the next 8 weeks so i’ll be posting a few photos here and there of my favorites. Hope you like these two! Thanks Hien and Amber!
