Jill and Reggie who literally live just down the street from me are getting married next May. We met at their house so Gaby could do their make up and we could take some photos that really personalized them. We got some great photos of them with Zippy their english bull dog and even got some shots of them playing Call of Duty, something both Reggie and I both play on our down time. I’m really looking forward to shooting their wedding since we had such a great time doing their engagement session. Yesterday my family and I had a nice session at Bill Barber Park in Irvine where I did quick sessions for my brother and his family, my sister and her family, my parents and all of us together. We need to get these printed for the Holidays asap so here are they! The kids have grown up so much and they’re only going to get bigger in the coming years. This year I really wanted to stray away from the typical portrait sessions that you see in most holiday cards, I really wanted this session to be what I do. After a little explaining my family was up for the more candid, real, genuine portraits, the JustinElement style you see in all my posts. I think they’re much better and have a completely different feel then what we’ve seen in the past. Hope you like them! Please enjoy.
Carissa and Paul have been waiting so patiently for this post, so I know it has to be amazing. The good thing is it wasn’t hard to create some beautiful imagery with their wedding because it was already amazing. The colors, the location, the people, everything just came together so well. Carissa and Paul were my 2nd Tivoli couple in 2 weeks and also my first Disneyland couple that wasn’t stopped at Disneyland for taking photos :) You may remember those photos here.
Carissa and Paul stayed away from the first look and wanted to see each other for the first time at the ceremony. Paul’s reaction was timeless and the decision to go that route left them more time for just the girls and just the guy shots. Their wedding party, guests, family and friends were alot of fun, everyone shared Carissa and Paul’s energy and attitude, everything was so high energy, and colorful. Colored shoes, colored bouquets, colored soda pop bottles, colored cake, cake pops, colored flip flops. Even their first song was from the Aquabats! their favorite band where Paul proposed to Carissa in concert. This was an amazing wedding and I loved everything about it.
