Jen + Marc || Engaged || Teasers

One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is getting to see old friends stop by and ask for pictures. I knew Marc from high school and to now see him preparing to get married to his beautiful fiance Jennifer, it really puts into perspective how much time has gone by. We took a trip back to UCLA and Westwood, where he spent his college years at, and really put to use the enormous amount of personal props they brought. Enjoy these teasers for now until the full shoot is up!

Wendy + Ray || Engaged || Eaton Canyon

On our e-session with Ray and Wendy, our first stop was at a coffee shop in Pasadena.  The great part about it is that it’s the location of their first date together!  We made use of its brick façade and the objects around it that helped bring out their character a little bit more.  It was pretty much a goldmine to shoot there because the area surrounding the coffee shop just opened our range of ideas and creativity even more.  By the end of the shoot, we knew that we were getting the real Ray and Wendy and not a little-bit-cautious-in-front-of-the-camera Ray and Wendy anymore when we saw Ray trying to seduce her with a vine of grapes.   We finished off the shoot in Eaton Canyon where we set up a classic picnic.  That’s right, we brought back the romantic, plaid blanket kind of picnic.  Lucky for you, and us, we’re not close to being done with posting about these two because we’ve still got their wedding to cover!

Susan + Alex || Newborn Session || Teasers

Kevin and I drove out to Susan and Alex’s right afterwards to shoot their newborn son Lincoln. We got to shoot all over their house and backyard and really create some creative and silly images. You can see our style all over this shoot. Oh!! and since my Christmas photoshoot with the Vanna family with Will holding the christmas lights and Wes hanging from the staircase railing, I’ve had a lot of friends come to me in disbelief that I would do something like that, I guess I need to put a disclaimer on these shots before I post them, friends: its all photoshop! With that being said, I’m also very glad that the many of you who reached out did think it was real because its given me some confidence in my photoshop :) Hopefully this second teaser photo isn’t an exception. Please enjoy!
