Angela + David || Married || Padua Hills Theatre Claremont

You might remember Angela and David from our “farm” engagement session. Actually! We shot at Pomona college and DTClaremont but we ran into a nice little hole in the wall farm on their campus run by a few students. During that shoot we really jumped into my style and brought out the weirdness of what is JustinElement Photography, so when it came down to shooting their wedding? They were totally ready. I think they were so ready that their bridal party probably thought I was crazy with all the goofy shots I wanted to do. Well if you didn’t figure it out yet, Kevin and I are pretty in the moment type of photographers and we love shooting personalities up close and personal. I think you’ll be able to see what I mean in these photos, right in the middle of all the action, crossing boundaries, and making new friends. We’re not only photographers who capture moments, but who also capture relationships all the same. A good photo can’t be good if there isn’t that connection with their subject, and Angela and David celebrated that relationship with each other as well as myself perfectly. Thanks for being so easy to work with and having an absolutely beautiful wedding. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with. Thank you guys and please enjoy all your photos!

Natasha + Eric || Engaged || Comikaze @ LA Convention Center

I love these two. I’m literally smiling while I’m typing out this blog post, mainly because I keep thinking about how we pulled one of the most unique engagement sessions I’ve done yet, we shot at a Con in full on cosplay. And I have to add it was a really good one too. Natasha and Eric came to me through the one and only Irene of Dot the I’s wedding planning – whom thought we would hit it off. She put us in a room together and left us at it for at least an hour to talk about wedding photography and by the time she came back, we still hadn’t talk one word about the wedding. For some reason we didnt notice time fly and we spent the first hour of our meeting geeking out. Their story is something really special and Gaby and I could instantly relate and I can’t express how happy I am to have them as my couple. They cosplayed as Steampunk Batgirl and Robin at Comikaze and Gaby and I were shooting them as Glenn and Daryl from the walking dead ;) It was a pretty fun day and we got tons of really creative photos. I wish we had a BTS of how everything went, but you can imagine how hard it was to take photos of them while everyone else was trying to get there own pics in as well. Anywho, hope you enjoy this really different session, I’m putting a star next to this one. Please enjoy!

Jessica + Jason || Married || Las Vegas

One of the best parts of my job other than always being at the happiest parts of peoples lives and crashing their weddings :D is the fact that I have a reason to reconnect with old friends. Its not like I really need a reason to jump onto facebook and just message my friends from high school, but its even better knowing that I’d be shooting their wedding as well. That brings me to Jessica and Jason. Jessica and I used to work together on the High Life, our school newspaper our senior of high school. Together we both graduated and went on to focus on journalism as our primary studies. I was hopeful to one day become a feature writer for a well known publication and even possibly take photos all around the world. It’s nice to know one of those came true! Earlier this year Jessica reached out and reconnected and we were thick as thieves again, like we’ve never missed a beat. Its something special, today’s technology and how our art can encourage connections. I had a great time at Vegas with Gaby and Kevin for Jessica and Jason’s wedding, they treated us like family and I couldn’t have hoped for more. Thank you again for giving us the amazing opportunity and having a beautiful wedding. I hope you enjoy reliving your day over and over again! Please enjoy!
