Nina + Steven || Engaged || Encinitas

We raced down to San Diego County to catch the hot air balloons last month. It was the first time ever I’ve witnessed them blow these things up and take off. Luckily, Nina, Steven and I we’re I were able to document the beautiful moment of take off into their engagement session. Its not every day you see giant balloons being blown up behind you, yet in your engagement photos. After some time of looking for the take off zone, we ran across 5 balloons being blown up the size of a football field. Nina and Steven trucked through the tall grass and in their traditional outfits to take some of these unique shots. I had them laying on the ground, running around the field and hiking up large hills. I can’t thank them enough for being up for everything and plowing through the fields with me on this shoot. Its going to be a great wedding in February! Please enjoy!

Jen + Marc || Married || Turnip Rose, Promenade

I love it when my couples are exactly on the same page as I am when it comes to unconventional, creative shots. Other than the must have formal shots and “safe” shots, I love doing fun, action, silly photos and setting up things that really need me to be comfortable with my couple and their bridal party. With Jen and Marc and friends, it was cake. On top of having Jen and Marc, my UCLA couple who skateboarded all around campus and carried their laundry through the dorms, I worked with old friends from high school that I haven’t seen in about a decade. I have to admit that it felt like we were back in high school and nothing changed. I had a great time covering these two tie the knot, old friends, new friends, and a perfect couple. Judy + Andrew || Married ||Teasers

I’ve known Judy for a few years now and see her at all of the family get together’s since she is Gaby’s sister’s bestest friend – So I’ve gotten to know her, her lively upbeat attitude and spontaneous inklings in the most intimate environments for some time now. And when I met Andy recently, I really was able to understand why Judy fell for him: straight shooting and simplest explanation possible, Andy is a great guy. Just observing him throughout the day and witnessing his interactions with others, his family, friends, nephews and nieces, you really don’t get a more down to earth person. He’s definitely someone I’d try to emulate when I strive to be a better man. Together Judy and Andy are somewhat a super couple and I’m blessed to be given this opportunity to share their special day with you. There’s tons more – so hopefully you don’t have to wait to long!
