Athena + Lourd || Anniversary Session || Los Angeles

Lourd and Athena have been my muse couple for the past few years now and have consistently contacted me every year to shoot their anniversary photos. And just for the record, they’re not married or engaged…yet! ;) Being really good friends of mine, they’re always down for any new concepts I wanna try out. We hit up multiple spots in the LA area I pre-scouted prior to this shoot. The beauty about LA is the rich, ever-changing street art culture present in the city. Some of these pieces get buffed out, taken down, or blocked off as quickly as they’re put up. You gotta be fast with some of these locations! For this shoot, aesthetically we wanted to focus on textures, minimalism, and a bit of a monochrome feel with their outfits. The awesome thing about these two is that whenever I need them to ham it up for the camera, they totally will without hesitation. They’re the living example of what it means to love someone with everything you have. Happy 7 years you two! Cue the sappy love song now…

Jaemee + Ejay || Engagement Photos || Orange, CA

I go wayyy back with this bride, Jaemee, from our college days and was excited to hear she was tying the knot. Her fiance and her were extremely easy to work with and even brought Gaby and I some of our favorite burgers to munch on. Its hard to find tall grass in the LA area since there isn’t very many spots, but our secret spot in Orange can make it look like a field of it. Lots of love here, please enjoy!

Mighty Shock LA || Dance Team Photoshoot || Old Town Torrance

Get ready for some of the steeziest youth dancers you’ve ever seen. Mighty Shock Los Angeles is one of the apprentice dance companies operating under the Culture Shock Los Angeles organization. Their ages range from 8 to 12 years of age and can they definitely can hold their own in a dance cypher/battle. In the past, I’ve had the opportunity of dancing on Future Shock LA and Culture Shock LA myself. Culture Shock LA provides an environment that nurtures these kids’ artistic talents and gets them involved in something bigger than themselves. Through these youth programs, they give back to the community and continue to do a lot of great work. Getting the chance to give back to the organization and photograph these amazing kids was nothing but fun for me. Take a scroll down and enjoy some of the photos I created with this talented bunch!
