Joanne + Allen || Wedding Photos || Palms Beach, Dominican Republic

I booked this trip over a year ago and have been looking forward to 1. visiting the Dominican Republic again, and 2. shooting the Carreon family again. When time finally came, I was reminded exactly why it was so much fun. Other than being in the DR which was amazing, from sky lanterns, to food and bar service all the time – we were able to relax and enjoy each day that we weren’t shooting. I’m also particularly proud that I shot this wedding all on my own, but also helped Dominique shoot video for it as well. While running two photo cameras, I was checking on composition, exposure, sound, battery life, and memory card life of 2 or 3 other cameras all at the same time. I have to admit it was probably one of the hardest things to do, not to mention 96 degree weather at 65% humidity, but it also is one of the most amazing things we’ve done, and I couldn’t be happier :) Hope you love these photos, please enjoy!

Maghan + Grace || Wedding Photos || Oak Canyon Nature Center, Anaheim CA

This post is long overdue, I’ve been on the grind these last few months doing photo edits, video edits, and just making sure our team was on top of it. So this set was tons of fun since I got to reconnect with an old friend and make some new ones. Both Maghan and Grace and their family and friends were so nice to work with, we were welcomed immediately as family. I also got to play around with our lighting techniques and really just watch things unfold. We shot at one of my favorite venues, Oak Canyon Nature Center and witness the best first look :) Check out all these fun photos! Please enjoy!

Milly + Brent || Engagement Photos || Long Beach, CA

With wedding season pretty much over (for now) and the holidays finally upon us, we head into the season of family photo sessions, proposals, and ultimately engagement sessions. The work of capturing love never stops for us. Milly and Brent took direction so well that by the end of the day, we were on a good rhythm knocking out all kinds of different shots. Their daughter Hayden and Maximus (their super cute/cool dog) also hopped in on some of the photos and had a great time chasing and playing with each other in the background while I had Milly and Brent ham it up for the camera. Engagement sessions are great because it allows me to break the ice, get to know my couple and also provide them a crash course in “Justin Element Posing 101” (It’s gonna be a thing, just watch…) before we do the big photo session on the actual wedding day. Overall it was a fun time shooting and getting to know the whole family that day. I’m so excited to shoot their wedding next year! These guys can’t take a bad picture… #FIRE
