Malia + David | Married | Teasers

Last night was amazing!! David, and Malia, an old high school friend of mine, tied the knot yesterday at the Tivoli Terrace, you might remember them from their e-session at Heritage Park. I really had a great time catching up with old friends and shooting yesterday. David and Malia really made sure we had MORE than enough time for the first look, wedding party portraits, and there mini session and I have to admit, going through all the photos, it definitely paid off. Here are FOUR of my favorites (chosen by Gaby because I couldn’t narrow it downhaha) but it was really hard to get it down to these. David, Malia, thank you thank you thank you again. And Malia! When we were hanging out during down time, David turned to me and said, “wow, look how beautiful she is, wow!” with the biggest smile on his face. He really looked like a kid at the candy store, and just like David said ALL night, you looked beautiful! Can’t wait for you to see all of these shots. They’re really something special. Anyway, this was a little longer than my usual teaser posts, so without further ado. Enjoy!

Rhia + Allan | Engaged | Avia Hotel, Long Beach

This is a pretty awesome session mainly because we were able to do this under 2 and a half hours, did a wardrobe change TWICE, and stayed at only one location. I did Rhia and Allan’s session at the Avia Hotel in Long Beach, really pulling their chiller lounge side out, drink and hand most of the shoot. I did a mix of poses with them but ultimately I wanted to show off their personalities. We really focused on the environment and location along with finding and creating great dynamic lighting. We even found some great text here and there that gave me some great ideas. You’ll like the Pool Rules, Sip Sexy, and PARKing lot sign just to mention a few. I’m looking forward to their 11.11.11 wedding and creating some awesome work for them. Thanks to Nick for assisting. Please enjoy.

Agnes + Daniel | Trash the Dress | La Jolla

Ag and Daniel hosted us again for another weekend in San Diego as we prepared for our trash the dress session. It was a very cloudy and cold morning to be jumping into the ocean but we couldn’t have been more prepared for this shoot. We were also privileged to be accompanied by Omnistories Cinematography who shot the wedding with me 2 months ago. The six of us literally ran around just finding random things here or there which turned out to be photography gold. You never know what your going to find in new locations, but finding good spots, compositions, and creating great moments of emotion is what its all about. Ag and Daniel will be combining this shoot with their wedding to make a whopping 64 page album. I can’t wait to post the design in a few weeks. But till then, enjoy these! Thanks ofcourse to Gaby for helping out. Please enjoy!
