Krystle Tugadi | Time EP | Release Photos

My great friend Krystle is releasing her EP entitled TIME next Friday 11.11.11 – I really wish I could go to her release party but I’ll be shooting the last 4 of my 6 weeks 6 weddings rush starting that weekend, so the best I can do is wish her the best and send you all to her music. Contact Krys if you have any request or just want to chat it up, her youtube is here. So we had a few ideas for her album cover artwork including looking into a mirror and seeing a clock. womp womp hahaha i’m glad we snipped that idea, but krys came up with even a better one, something that could relate to her and the meaning of seeing time. We really played with emotions over time and really brought out the “real”ness in the set. I shot very close to a white drop and made sure shadows were seen. It’s not like alot of my normal work that’s much more controlled and studio like, these almost have a feel like were just shooting in front of a white wall. On top of that we went out and took some shots at a park nearby. Finally just the other week, I B-Rolled and accompanied the sunshine team at the filming of the music video for her single Sunshine directed by Anthony David teamed with Sarah Mendoza. Choreographed by Patty Asence. Styling by Nino Llanera and Creative Direction by Valerie Elle. I’m probably missing names so email me so I can add anything i’ve missed. I had a lot of fun with that cast and crew and can’t wait to see this thing all finished. Hope you enjoy!

Coryn + Teddy | Engaged | Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden

Most of my couples are sending out save the dates six to ten months ahead of their wedding just to make sure their guests get the days off. Coryn and Teddy got started quick and even booked the Japanese Gardens pre opening so they can get the entire place to their selves. Unfortunately there was massive traffic because of the Long Beach Marathon that we both ended up getting there a little late. The japanese gardens staff was really accommodating and held off the opening for about half an hour just so we could get more intimate shots. They even gave us unlimited pellets to feed the fish! Teddy and Coryn were so easy to work with, laughed at everything and really just opened up from the get go. Getting them to relax and have fun took really no time at all. I’m sure you’ll see it in the photos. If I had put the audio in the video, you would hear both of them laughing the entire time, Teddy screaming “this is on video! don’t you know how to act on video!” hahaha :D Gaby and I had such a fun time, thanks for soldiering through the hot day and the “field of death” with us guys! Please enjoy!

Agnes + Daniel | Album Design

Agnes and Daniel’s album design was actually finished last month but was postponed because they decided to combine their trash the dress session photos in it also. We did their trash the dress about a month after the wedding and added a bunch of pages to the album. So a normal standard album comes with 32 pages, Daniel wanted to go bigger and better and push it to the limits. Go big or go home right? So for the first time ever, we created a…. drum roll please. 66 PAGES! Over twice as big! Automatically this means I need to make a sample of this for my own office! Anyway I can’t wait to see how thick and EPIC this album is going to be. I loved the photos we chose and I can’t wait to see their faces when they get this album and show all their friends and family. Enjoy!
