So the mission has become one of my most used engagement backdrops just because the setting is so textured and unique. The walls always add flavor to whatever we bring and the adding in something like a yellow balloon just gives the photos an extra umph. It was a very bright, hot, and harsh day so playing with shadows, direct sunlight, and backlights were very unforgiving. It’s opportunities like these though that really test how far creativity and looking at the world differently can take you. Angela and Jason are an amazing couple who really let me take them out of their comfort zones. I hope you love your photos guys! Thanks to Gaby for make up and assisting. Please enjoy!
We were privileged to shoot at The Cellar in Downtown Fullerton this weekend and we really made the most of the French Winery inspired restaurant. The place really suited Lily and Tony who loved the idea of wine and bars in their session. The Cellar staff even let us shoot behind the counter at the bar and utilize some of their liquor. Its a creative shoot with the minimal light we had, but it was a very welcomed challenge. Hope you enjoy the teasers!
I did have a little bit of extra time in January with the engagement season just about to start, so Gaby had asked me to shoot for fun. Something that I haven’t done in such a long time to be honest. She set up a collaboration with Ro Crisostomo a fellow make up artist, where they would do each other’s make up, and i’d shoot them. They recruited the help of the very talented Vanessa Adarna and Chris Van Zeyl of Salon 25 to do the hair, Designer Luis Arredondo to lend his talents with our wardrobe, and Karen Chen to help with some assisting. All in all it was a fun day, good foods, great company and amazing talent. I’m privileged to work with such amazing people and just glad I could just shoot for fun and do a personal project once in a while. Hope you like the work! Please enjoy.
Ok here are some “more behind the scene kind of shots” i just thought they looked great just like this. :)
