Carissa and Andrew tied the knot at the beautiful Soka University and put together their event masterfully. Their venue was unique and beautiful, the type of venue you don’t see very often. As Gaby and I just recently started wedding planning we’re starting to really see the amount of work and decision making included in putting together this one day. The first step was the venue and finding the perfect one sets the tone for the rest of the planning. Carissa and Andrew nailed it on the head with Soka. I go way back with these guys and I’m excited to share these photos with you. These were so much fun to shoot and just being right in the mix with old friends made it that much easier. It literally is the start of the era where my generation of friends are starting to get married and I’m right in the mix of it all. Literally just this week I’ve seen so many of my friends get hitched, and I can’t wait to see all these weddings in the next few years. I love these guys. After I sent Amanda and Jay these photos they posted a ton up and sent me some of the nicest notes and emails about how much they love their photos. When people ask what I love most about what we do, I always have to choose between shooting some of the most intimate moments in peoples lives and seeing how happy everyone is, creating something unique and creative and giving people a different perspective of themselves, or this, the exact moment when they see their photos and are estatic about the results. These photos are the perfect example of my relationship with my couples and our style personified, and Amanda and Jay couldnt have been better models. I hope you enjoy these photos!
