Finding Inspiration

I caught up on my blogs! Mac’s Mail reader has a cool little perk that I think google chrome and Microsoft Outlook offer, they update any RSS feeds you want to follow so you can keep up to date with your favorite photographers.

One of the consequences of this though is seeing your favorite photographers work, on their blog, and making yourself feel, well, sucky. haha

Have you ever look at a photographers work and then think “Man this guy is good” then 2 minutes later, totally feel in the hole about how much you suck? Well i’ve always thought that, that thought process, was something great because seeing other work that you can admire only drives you to want to go out and get better.

So now i’m here again with that big urge to just shoot, to just really refine and shape my style. I’d like to think the way you shoot tends to become a mix of your favorite photographers. I take the best things i like in different photographers and i try to make it my own. From all of this i’ve realized in the past couple months, and in thailand, my photography eye has taken a change. My thought process has begun to take into account a little of each style. Time will tell where it will go.

Jinae + Ramil . Wedding Preview

I came back from Thailand immediately after the wedding to shoot my good friends getting married. I met Ramil my freshman year of high school at JV Drill Team for our JROTC at our school. We both got into varsity the end of that year and spun rifles as Dark Knights. It was an amazing time in my life. I actually have old videos, but everything on youtube was newer. Either way here is our team 5 years after we left. Its good to see the tradition is still going on strong. I also met Jinae that year in JROTC and that first year Ramil and Jinae got together. We’ve been through alot together since then, Ramil and I both joined the first sergeant core, and later in college joined the same Fraternity. We’ve been through a lot together and I’m blessed be part of their day. Thanks for asking me to photograph your wedding guys. I’ll be working on your photos for the next coming weeks, so hope you like this preview!

PV and Rose Preview for Magazines!

So normally i’d be posting a couple one to five pictures of the wedding I just did as a preview, but Rose contacted me recently to send her some 40 photos to be featured on two heavily distributed international magazines. Thus fighting against the fatigue and the horrible jetlag, I picked out a few of my favorite pictures and immediately got to working. I’ll have to revisit the pre Thailand work I have waiting for me in the near future. Good for you guys though since I know tons of you are waiting to see some of my work from the Thailand wedding – not to mention our engagement session which i still have yet to blog! (Since they’re all done and editted, i’ll make sure to post them up this week)

So here are my favorite pictures from the Rose and PV’s wedding in Thailand, when I finish all the photos, i’ll make sure to post the entire gallery and more of my favorites on here. I’ll also make sure to find a copy of those magazines when they publish!

Please enjoy!
