Its another round of applications: 2014 is here and I am looking to expand my dedicated team. I’m looking for driven photographers and aspiring photographers who would like to add to the Justin Element Team for the 2014 year.
We are usually a yearly rotating team that work at events including weddings, birthdays, parties, anniversaries, engagement sessions, after sessions and more based upon availability. All individuals are hired contractual and paid per event and require formal attire and grooming when appropriate. Most events are on the weekends, so a flexible schedule is a must.
All associate shooters must have Canon gear of their own, Sorry nikon and sony (i have bad experiences with the file writing systems syncing up) and have major availibilities on weekends. There will be an extensive training period also.
The assistant position is definitely a position for learning photographers. For the most part, you would accompany the team during any events or sessions, literally protect and safe guard equipment and memory cards, keep track of the day’s events and itinerary, assist with lighting and environment aesthetics, many a time bounce ideas and good shots back and forth with the shooters, and lastly play with our walkie talkie headsets. :)
The Associate Videographer position is for applying to be the 2nd, or even 3rd shooter at a wedding, or other event and requires more experience and confidence. You will need a strong working knowledge of the DSLR and shooting techniques but still have a passion to hone your skills in photography. You will be trained in shooting along side me and my team and should be able to adapt and process information quickly; as well as interact with clients and provide creative feedback. You will be required to provide an online portfolio of your work and bring your DSLR to your interview.
If you’re interested, go ahead and apply, or if you know anyone who you think would be perfect for these positions, please share this post with them. Looking forward to reading these for the 2014 year!
