When Meli came to me, she told me she was having a very small and intimate wedding with just her closest friends and family, but she wanted to have amazing photos. She was telling me that the photos were the MOST important things at her wedding and she wanted to make sure she did it right. I knew we were meant to work together from the moment we talked. (OK she didn’t tell me that from the start, but when I called her, her fiance Jose was playing on the XBOX and was super focused on playing and I knew we had a special connection ;) haha) Besides that, Meli’s personality fits perfectly into my style.
I always tell my couples that one of the ONLY things you’ll have from you day is your photos, so please please budget for it appropriately and get a photographer you mesh well with and whose work you love. Meli had focused on the proper things – she wanted to make sure she’d remember this day forever and be able to show her kids and grand kids these memories. SO she HAD to have great photos, something I can totally agree with. When we planned out our day we wanted to hit Hotel Maya (where they’re staying), INnOUT(they’re favorite place ever), their house, Shoreline Village, and the reception. I already knew it was going to be a crazy day and we’d get some amazing pictures, just considering our locations. On top of that I really wanted to make sure we caught their personalities and brought the proper props. I also got to catch up again with some really cool old friends. And I must say again, its amazing to see the rewarding and blessed paths we’ve all travelled. I really enjoyed taking these photos and editing all of them. Check it out. Please enjoy!
