Nga and Rosario shot with me at Heritage Park as part two of their session but with Nga in her wedding dress. They actually shot this before their celebration but technically after their wedding. Nga and Rosario are having two wedding celebrations, one in Italy and one in Vietnam, but they really wanted to have a session in her wedding dress before the weddings itself. Other than seeing her in her dress before the weddings, there was really no downside to this. Now they were able to show off their aftersession pictures during their wedding. And that is why I didn’t post these shots till now. If that doesn’t make any sense, don’t worry, I might have lost myself too. Either way, enjoy these photos; you can see how much fun we had! Thanks to Gaby for doing Nga’s make up and assisting again.

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011Agnes + Daniel | Trash the Dress | La Jolla
Tuesday, October 11th, 2011Ag and Daniel hosted us again for another weekend in San Diego as we prepared for our trash the dress session. It was a very cloudy and cold morning to be jumping into the ocean but we couldn’t have been more prepared for this shoot. We were also privileged to be accompanied by Omnistories Cinematography who shot the wedding with me 2 months ago. The six of us literally ran around just finding random things here or there which turned out to be photography gold. You never know what your going to find in new locations, but finding good spots, compositions, and creating great moments of emotion is what its all about. Ag and Daniel will be combining this shoot with their wedding to make a whopping 64 page album. I can’t wait to post the design in a few weeks. But till then, enjoy these! Thanks ofcourse to Gaby for helping out. Please enjoy!

Sunday, September 25th, 2011Phew what a week! Warning for this post, this is going to be a vent session as I try to throw up all of my thoughts at once but in an organized way. In an attempt to remodel my office room at my house, I turned 2 of my monitors vertical and stuck them to the ends of a 30 inch dell monitor. I’m pretty psyched about this change as we continue to do some customizations to the room. Here’s an inadvertent preview for Rhia + Allan’s E-session I did earlier and a view of my new set up. Special cameos by my super 70-200 lens cup, Vinylmation Mushu, and poloraid Gaby down there on the left.
For all of you wondering why I need 3 screens! well! i’m about to tell you. Actually I have 4, the one on right is a viewing monitor. (it plays host to my blu ray player… okay okay no lies, my ps3, but we all say we have one because it plays blu ray dvds!) The screen on the right hosts web browsing capabilities to the finest and searches thru the web with lightning speed -__-. The one in the middle is the editting screen and the one on the left is my email screen (thats why I get back to all my emails super fast). Along with these changes i’ll be remodeling the entire room, customizing a new cabinet area, and installing hardwood floor. Its going to be a huge change and I cant wait for it to be finished.
Also if you were wondering about my lens cup: I’m happy to share the wealth so go buy one here!
Anyway I have a few teasers to share with you and a bunch more full posts to get up here this week, so keep your eyes peeled. I didn’t expect to get backed up after the wedding summer crunch but things are busy, so thank you for keeping things rollin. I’m glad to be working :) Spread the word and tell your friends to call or email me. I’m happy to hear about their wedding day.
Okay no more, here’s some more teasers from Agnes + Daniel’s Trash the Dress. They’ll be getting the largest album i’ve ever made, 64 pages of beautiful wedding photos. Its going to be epic. Enjoy!

Hien + Amber | Trash the Dress | Mt. Baldy
Friday, August 5th, 2011I’ve known Hien for most of my life and even a few years ago he asked me to bartend his wedding. So it was a surprise a few months ago when Hien and Amber asked me to do their trash the dress session. They’ve always wanted to do one, especially at Mt. Baldy since Hien proposed to Amber during one of their hikes and thought something like this would be very meaningful. Unfortunately they kept pushing it back, month after month and year after year. Currently they are both in the Dominican Republic doing some humble humanitarian work, but they knew if they pushed it back till after their trip, they would never do it. So as Amber told us, it really was a “now or never” moment. There are always reasons not to do something, so if you don’t do it now, it’ll never happen. Well thats probably enough of my Confucius words of wisdom, just remember if your planning on doing something, like trashing your dress, just do it! Theres no point in waiting any longer and take A&H’s advice… and call me so I can shoot it :) haha hope you all enjoy this one. It’s one of my favorite shoots to date. Thanks Hien and Amber, enjoy!

Thursday, June 16th, 2011Wow! Today I went hiking for my first time in my entire life and as a newbie should, I got owned! But I have to admit it was entirely worth it because my couple was one of the bests. For months now i’ve been telling people how I wanted to shoot up in the mountains and last week I couldn’t have asked for a better answer. Hien and Amber have been wanting to do a Trash the Dress session in mother natures front doorstep ever since Hien proposed to Amber in the middle of the Sequoia Forest. These places have special meaning and what better than trash her beautiful dress here. Hien and Amber were down to do anything for the shot and I couldn’t have asked for a more down couple. I’m excited to show you this session thus, this will be a reoccurring project over the next 8 weeks so i’ll be posting a few photos here and there of my favorites. Hope you like these two! Thanks Hien and Amber!
