Art Institute North Hollywood

One of our teachers at the Art Institute of Orange County moved into the Director of Academic Affairs for Digital Photography at the Art Institute in North Hollywood. Over the last year Kevin has become one of the few photographers and teachers that I can go to for advice and help. He’s taught me a plethora in the art of photography and in getting my feet stabilized. As much as I can say I know what I need to do and I don’t want to be in school for my degree, I know my life wouldn’t be the same and where it is today if it wasn’t for my decisions to go the school and the faculty at my school including Kevin. So Kevin started his first day at AICNoHo as i call it, and we visited him and toured the campus. I’ve never seen Kevin smile as much, we took a few pictures of the campus, regretfully nothing of the group of 7 that went up. The campus was very nice and i really liked it and the atmosphere, Everything looked so artistically professional rather then business driven, kind of the feeling AIC Orange County gives off. Either way i’ll be staying to finish my tenure at Orange County, and take advantage of the great resources at my school. Do you know we can check out 40D’s, lenses, studio lights, and stands over the weekends for free?! thats awesome isn’t it? Sometimes i completely hate my school, but then again sometimes i completely love it. It really is a love hate relationship but it doesnt look like i’ll be leaving anytime soon. :)

After the tour and catching up we headed out, grabbed some munchies at dennys and went into LA. Now thats what i LOVE LOVE LOVE about the North Hollywood campus, its right next door to all of the coolest places like Griffith Park, the Hollywood sign, San Gabriel Mountains, and Downtown LA. The place is in the best location, just so far from home… yes Anaheim and Long Beach. The envy will have to be put on hold because i won’t be moving up there or anything, OC is the place for me and for the amazing wedding industry. So we drove into Downtown LA and scouted out the locations for this Saturdays Engagement shoot which i’ll post up this weekend after its done. Here are some must have shots i got at the 3 locations i plan to visit, the railroads (jump on a train and run :]), the walt disney concert hall (ofcourse!) and finally angel park (bunkerhill from 500 days).BLOG-1BLOG-2BLOG-3BLOG-4BLOG-5BLOG-6BLOG-7BLOG-8
