Lizzie and Albert Engaged – Long Beach State University

So Lizzie and Albert’s wedding is on October 15 and we did our engagement shoot at Disneyland at first, which was posted a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately due to time restrictions and faulty weather we were not able to get all the shots we wanted. Ofcourse not satisfied with my own work I rescheduled their shoot to this last weekend where I had the privilege of working side by side with the very talented Scott Yoshimoto of MOVeMEDIA productions.

Scott is a undergraduate student in the film program at the University of California, Irvine and is an old friend from college. I met him a couple years back when one of my fraternity brothers invited him to shoot an event my fraternity and I hosted called Raise the Roof (great event by the way that raised money to help families in poverty). Scott has always worked as a videographer for weddings and debuts but has also been getting out there in the community with his very entertaining youtube videos and vlogs. Make sure you check out his work!

Ok now that my multiple plugs are done :) Scott, Gaby, who was my lighting assistant again, and I took Lizzie and Albert around my old campus for some intense photo sesshing. As usual, all of our personalities were thrown in a pot and mixed and simmered quickly. It was like we were back in Disneyland with them again! I think you can see it in the pictures but it was really fun just talking, playing jokes, and teasing each other. I’m really excited to see Scotts footage since i’m sure you’ll be able to see the energy. We had a lot of fun and i’m glad Scott joined in as an added element. <– yea i did! =] Thanks guys and see you tomorrow! (the karate kid) ;]

Here are Lizzie and Albert’s Engagement Photos – Please enjoy!

Rona and Shane – Long Beach, California

So yesterday, Justin and I had the privilege of having a photo shoot with Rona and Shane in downtown Long Beach.  I’ve known these two for almost six years I think and it was great catching up with them because Justin and I haven’t been able to really spend much time with them.  So after Shane got a haircut for the shoot [haha],  we made our way to Long Beach to have an adventure and just find different places to take pictures.  I had a lot of fun during the shoot and I’m pretty sure everyone else did too [even though I felt weird watching them be all mushy gushy because I’ve known them for such a long time…bleh! Haha, just kidding!  We walked quite a bit and took stops at the performing arts center in Long Beach all the way down to the ferris wheel next to Shoreline Village.  I could tell that Justin really enjoyed shooting yesterday because 1.  Rona and Shane were really comfortable in front of the camera, 2. the weather was perfect for JustinElement magic, and 3. we haven’t really been able to shoot a couple in a while [as you can tell].  Justin was trying a lot of new things with his shooting yesterday and I loved how creative it turned out! I hope you guys do, too! :D

Engaged at Disneyland

These last two weeks have been overwhelming! But I loved every moment of it, I guess i’m blessed to even be this busy, so i’ll take it as a good thing that I have something to do rather than something not to do right? Well last Sunday was a busy day, it was the day after the Arzadon Anniversary Wedding and I had a triple graduation in the morning that i blogged first a long time ago, Jon, Johanna and Lizelle, and afterwards I had this engagement. Elizabeth and Albert were both very kind in letting me lag a bit to catch up with all my work, and finish up their images before i went on vacation tomorrow

So originally we were suppose to head over to Hollywood during this Sunday afternoon but instead we changed plans. When we all found out we all had Disneyland annual passes, the rules of the game changed. What better then having a Disneyland engagement shoot?! Although the sky was extremely overcasted it gave us some nice soft light, only problem is if you know how i shoot, i love blue skies and splotchy cloud coverage! So we worked with what we had, ran around Disneyland till the sun came down, and got a good hour and a half to two hours of coverage. Were doing one more engagement shoot on June 13, so stay tuned for that one. Afterwards it was already late so we ended up getting some chicken tenders and corndogs at the little place next to the golden horseshoe and shared some stories. They loved how Gaby and I met in an abandoned house when i lost my balloon in the attic (she made me get it and i fell and broke my arm) you know, just like in UP. :D Elizabeth and Albert’s wedding is on October 15, and they’re going to have a wedding party of 34! Its going to be so much fun i can’t wait

Hope you like the picturess, now its time to pack for my vegas vacation! i’ll make sure to post some pics of the babies and beautiful las vegas
