Scot and Andrea Engaged – Engagement Party – Pacific Club, Newport Beach

I was sitting in a limo shooting a wedding a couple weeks back when Scot Klein gives me a call asking me to shoot his engagement party in Newport Beach. It was probably incredibly loud in the limo if I remember, but luckily Scot still asked me to shoot his engagement party the next weekend.

Sorry for the noise Scot, but i’m really glad I picked up the call and was able to shoot your engagement party. Your friends, relatives, and guests were so much fun. I had popped a five hour energy right before the party and was ready to get down and dirty with everyone. I think you definitely can see it in these pictures!

I had a really fun time shooting, thank you so much for inviting me to this special time in your lives. Wish you the best and I hope to see you soon when you start your wedding planning! Hope you like your pictures.

Please enjoy responsibly.

Erik and Stephanie Married – Vista, CA – Rancho Buena Vista Adobe

It was a warm day September 12, the men were getting ready in the small rooms of the adobe homes while the women got ready in the larger rooms (bride always gets the best right!) all while the crew was setting up the garden courtyard for Erik and Stephanie’s ceremony. Erik and Stephanie have one of the best and most romantic, most unique and special love stories I’ve ever heard. Their story will be remembered years from now and their children will listen patiently as their father tells them the story of how he met their mother. Of course thats how all kids are, as we sit through season after season waiting to find out who Ted’s wife is right?! haha (sorry for the detour if you didn’t get the reference) But seriously, Erik and Stephanie probably met in the coolest way yet, thanks to today’s technology, they met through my guilty pleasure, Craig. You see, Erik was in need of a new roomate when bestfriend Cory had moved out, fate had it that Stephanie answered an ad in craigslist finding Erik to become her new roommate, she fell madly in love with the man across the hallway, and well, like they say in the movies – the rest is history. Gaby and I had an amazing time shooting Stephanie and Erik’s wedding, along with getting to know their wedding party, family and friends. Thank you for choosing me to do your wedding, it was gorgeous! Hope you like the photos! Please enjoy responsibly.

Agnes and Daniel Engaged – San Diego, CA – Balboa Park – University of San Diego

So after a busy Labor Day weekend up in Berkeley, Justin and I headed down to San Diego the following weekend to cover Agnes and Daniel’s engagement shoot! We headed down Friday night so we could spend some time with them since Agnes and Justin have known each other for a super super long time. Before the engagement shoot on Saturday, Agnes and I had a little spa day (thanks again Agnes for bringing me!) while Justin, Daniel, and Joey, Daniel’s roommate, played Street Fighter. I’m sure we’ll be down again soon for a rematch! So for the engagement shoot, we shot Agnes and Daniel at Balboa Park and at USD. It was such a pretty day, and the locations Agnes and Daniel picked were amazing! It was so funny because while we were at Balboa Park, EVERYONE was watching Justin shoot. I even saw people taking pictures of Agnes and Daniel while Justin was shooting them! Usually when we shoot, people will glance over at us once in a while because all of the gear Justin has but I’ve never seen so many people engrossed in a photo shoot before.  Balboa Park had a ton of different places to use for scenery, as you guys will see later, ranging from a rose garden, to this huge water thingy, to these huge column structures. After we shot at the park, we went to USD to finish up the shoot. Agnes and Daniel both went to USD and that was actually where they met.  Justin and I were trying to get the story of how they met, and from what I could tell they really didn’t like each other too much when they met.  It’s like those stories that our grandparents tell us about how they hated each other as children and ended up being sweethearts. :] And Justin says, “for all of you who stalk my website and found Agnes and Daniel’s pictures yesterday, thanks for blowing the surprise and telling them their pictures are up. Now this blog is less relevant”. HEY WAIT. THAT MEANS I’M TYPING SOMETHING IRRELEVANT! :( Ehhh, that’s okay! So I’m pretty sure I’ve talked way to much so I’m going to go now! Enjoy the pictures.
