Bianca Calingo . Headshots . Downtown Los Angeles

Bianca works at Walt Disney Company, Disneyland as the characters, and is on the Clippers Spirit Squad. She dances every week for the Clippers in front of the almighty Blake Griffin (totally amazing guy). I’ve got tickets to the Wizards Clippers game to see him in action and i’m super pumped to see him and Bianca dance. OKAY okay so back to the photos. Bianca’s headshots were taken in Downtown Los Angeles where we were stopped TWICE by the authorities, I guess shooting headshot is illegal now and you HAVE to have a permit EVERYWHERE you go, even in front of the graffiti walls (REALLY!?). I think its starting to get ridiculous, now its even harder to find locations to shoot. If you have any great locations that aren’t an arm and a leg to get into and around, please let me know – I’d appreciate it. Now onwards to the headshots, I had a great shoot, thanks for being a super great model Bianca! Hope you enjoy!

Joey + Ryan . Maternity

Some of you may remember this couple because I did their photos a while back on the train tracks. Its framed in my office, on my marketing for the knot.com advertisement, use to be my splash page photo on my website, and is on her ipad haha. Well, the best part about being a wedding photographer, other than traveling, meeting new people, crashing weddings ;), and doing what i love – ok well maybe not the BEST thing! But one of the coolest things is the fact that I can follow some of my favorite couples throughout their entire lives. So whats next after the wedding? Maternity pictures, baptisms, baby pictures, family pictures, eventually graduation pictures and whats that? Another wedding! haha okay i’m getting ahead of myself but hey, I look to the future alot; I’m trying to be a visionary here! :D So anyway, I shot Joey and Ryans maternity shots in studio and we did some really creative stuff, hope you like them!

There’s always that moment when you just know you got the shot. This was definitely the shot we were looking for.

Jinae + Ramil . Married . Yamashiro’s, Hollywood

I met Ramil freshman year of high school, instantly became friends. A couple days later I met Jinae. And literally, a couple weeks later, Jinae and Ramil were together.

That was over a decade ago, and I’m blessed to still be friends with this amazing couple. Ramil’s story he told during his reception about how he first met Jinae and how he knew how his future was going to unfold was nothing short of magical and this wedding really met up to those magical standards. Jinae and Ramil have been with me throughout some great times in my life. Ramil literally next to me through alot of it. There’s not much I can say that isn’t shown in these pictures. I’m privileged to present to you, two of my oldest friends, Jinae and Ramil – FINALLY married :)

Instead of just showing you a bunch of their pictures, I went ahead, waited a bit to post the final photos and decided to just post the album design already. Its my blog so I thought I’d shake things up!

AND ALSO! The greatest girlfriend ever, Gabrielle Manalo also did a number of jobs as lighting assistant, second shooter, and make up artist. Seriously couldn’t have done it without her :)
