Val + Jarrod . New York . Teaser

I don’t mean to be a sellout from my native city, LA, or better yet, Orange County, but I have to say I love New York. New York was a whole new culture shock for me. I love how everyone walks around everywhere, picks up pizza from their favorite pizza joint, jumps on a subway to get across town, and bundles up in layers and layers of clothing. Touring the city with Jarrod and Val was probably one of the best memories I’ll have as a photographer and I’m glad that I can share it with them. Although, I’d like to note that the subway system here in New York is more complex than figuring out how to use a pro end dslr. Even the MTA employees and some native New Yorkers couldn’t help us find our way underground! However, even though I got lost pretty much every day here I’m glad it was with Val and Jarrod. They were amazing and we’ll have inside jokes that will last a lifetime. If you’re from New York you could totally tell we went everywhere. There were some places that we wanted to visit but you could only do so much in New York in two days. Maybe next time Gaby and I will have to make a visit on our own. The rest of this week we’ll be staying north of the city in Westchester with family and shooting with one of my favorite photographers Todd Laffler. The rest will be up in a couple of weeks. Here are some teasers, I hope you enjoy them!

Malia + David . Teaser

Well here’s my last post before I head out to New York for the week. Malia and David had set up our session for this morning at Disneyland but we changed due to the sheer volume of people going to Disneyland. Shooting at Disneyland Tuesday was extremely difficult because there were so many people there. Lines were so long, Tea Cups alone were 40 minutes at least. Nevertheless we soldiered thru and got some amazing work done. This time around though Malia and David agreed on going to their original plan, Heritage park, a small quaint park without too many distractions except your occasional duck. Lets just say we hit the spot. The place was amazing and the weather was beautiful, I had so many great shots, but I definitely had to show you how great the clouds were to us today. Hope you like these teasers.

All in all though we had a great day and i’m excited to get some rest on the flight tonight. Gaby and I are going to Newwww York for Val and Jarrod’s e-session and were shooting everywhere! I’ve always wanted to visit the big apple on my own and really experience the New York pizza, street dogs, and sites, first hand. Shoot me some places to eat and check out whenever you get a chance! Its going to be fun seeing New York from a native Los Angeles, Orange County native. Have a good week end!

Joanne + James . Engaged . Mission San Juan Capistrano

We MADE IT! What a long week it’s been but it’s finally thursday! Gaby and I will be traveling to theee bigggg APPLE for Val and Jarrod’s engagement session and i’ll be updating you from there for the next week. But thats a whole nother story for you guys! New Yoke here we comeee!

Currently we have Joanne and James, my big 9.10.11 wedding. Every wedding photographer has this big date booked already because well in short its THE day to get married this year. I’ve had countless inquiries for this date but this resourceful couple did their research and booking almost a year ahead. So a couple weeks back we carpooled to San Juan Capistrano to do our shoot there, I really didn’t know what to expect since i’ve never seen the area but to be honest it didnt matter, EVERYTHING seemed like it was perfect. I absolutely LOVE this place. It was so easy to find spots to just jump into and shoot, and let me tell you, Joanne and James were perfect. I couldn’t ask more from a couple. They were naturals – maybe because James is a photographer himself and Joanne, yea she use to model. haha nehh i threw that one in, but I swear I wouldn’t be surprised if they both did on the side. You’ll believe me when you see these shots, these two need to be in a magazine. Now only if I could find one to feature my engagement sessions! Let me know guys! Anyway we had an extremelllyy good time and I’m psyched to shoot their wedding. Hope you guys love the shots! Please enjoy responsibly.

Special thanks to Gaby Manalo for being super lighting assistant again and for handling the make-up artistry, once again. She owned it!
