Soratha + Patrick | Married | CSULB Japanese Gardens

Thursday, May 10th, 2012

Wow! This set will end my daily posts this week as I’m a little burnt out. Time to rest for a day before this weekend’s wedding and then back to it early next week. Today I have a very special set for all of you from Soratha and Patrick’s 2 day extravaganza. Soratha and Patrick have one of the most touching stories you’ll ever hear. If you ever meet these two or even hear stories about them from their friends or even their other vendors – they’ll have their own stories and take, on why these two work out so well. Instead of just repeating these stories and ideas to you, I’d rather tell you my experiences myself.

Patrick and Soratha came to me unengaged but ready to get married. Their dates were set, the ceremonies planned out, they just needed to put together a few of the loose ends. IE Patrick needed to officially propose, and they needed engagement pictures. Patrick remembers meeting Soratha in kindergarten where they used to fight and play together, Soratha remembers Patrick later in high school though where she started to notice him. Patrick’s childhood crush developed into so much more, ultimately winning Soratha over. I was able to see their relationship’s power for the first time though when Patrick went over the plans for their engagement shoot, where he had planned to actually propose to her with an audience of just me. (I have to admit I felt pretty special) Never have I seen one man put together so much for his fiance. Patrick built a sandbox, painted a story book, brought dozens of flowers, rented a couch and vintage cases, found old tricycles, brought chairs and tables, called schools, scouted locations, and even rented an entire helium tank to fill up one balloon. Search their engagement session above and you’ll see what I’m talking about. At first I thought Patrick was crazy, why would anyone do so much! Needless to say, it was all for her. As I got to know them both a little better, I realized how much they’ve been through together and how much they each meant to each other. Throughout their entire wedding, the motivation, sweet words, kind gestures and much patience that they both shared was radiant and contagious, you could see it right in front of you. Love.

I’m truly blessed to have been part of these two days and to share this set with all of you. You can find the ENTIRE set of all the photos here for day 1 and here for day 2. Hope you enjoy!

Michelle + Ryan | Married | Teasers

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012

So last weekend was Michelle and Ryan’s big day. You might remember this couple from my aquarium of the pacific shoot. I loved shooting with Michelle and Ryan and just hanging out during our healthy food nights, and our soon to be unhealthy food nights and our random comic book runs among other things. I truly hope all my couples are as much in love as Ryan and Michelle, hope you enjoy these teasers and sorry they’re so late as New York hasn’t been very forgiving with my free time. Please enjoy!

Christina + Brian | Married | La Canada Country Club Lake Wedding

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

The wedding season’s here and we’re unloading photos in full force. Next week is my New York trip so I want to get as much done before I get on that plane. So here we are – 2nd wedding of the season: Christina and Brian live up north but had their wedding in socal. Needless to say, Brian, the Golden Warrior, invited all his family and friends from the bay to party down here for the weekend. It was an emotional happy-tears filled day with some of the best dance moves I’ve seen. As we were walking to the reception from the lake, I remember showing Brian some photos on the back of my camera, after which, his jaws dropped in surprise. We’re all so used to seeing a professional model in those “magazine type” photos, it’s not every day its actually YOU there. Brian’s response was timeless and he really reminded me why I love working with people during these happiest moments in their life. It was a pleasure capturing these photos and big thanks for making it so easy with all the positive energy from everyone. Hope you love your photos! Please enjoy.

Here’s a link to a little less than half of the total photos, if you have some time!

Flowers – Victor Lagman
Video – Jared Bedrejo – Universal Mind Works
Party Bus – SoCal Limos & Buses
DJ – DJ Joe Balboa
Hair & Make Up – Gigi Quzon

Christine + Tim | Married | San Pedro Carraige Ride Wedding

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

Christine and Tim was literally my first full wedding day wedding for 2012. I have to admit I did start late in the year, but the season was going to be a long one, in fact I’m already feeling the full start and i’m putting in the hours to get everything out as soon as I can. With that being said, Christine and Tim’s wedding was beautiful. The rain was scheduled to storm us in but amazingly the weather was PERFECT. The wind kept everything flying and was great for all the shots. Christine and Tims wedding party were so much fun and took the word resourcefulness to an entirely new level with their foil funnel! You’ll have to see the shots below to know what I’m saying. So get on it and enjoy these photos. Thanks again for letting me be part of your wedding journey Christine and Tim. I’ll be seeing you guys soon for your album proofs! Please enjoy.

Erilen + Juan | Married | Teasers

Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

This Saturday was Erilen and Juan’s big day which I got to celebrate with some old familiar faces, Erilen’s sister Justine (whose wedding I did last fall) and family & friends were all present. It was nice reconnecting and definitely the type of wedding atmosphere I love love love. I’ve never been so relaxed shooting and I owe it all to them and their party and guests. I can already see it reflected in all the photos i’ve picked out, especially these! See you guys in a few weeks! Please enjoy!

Christine + Tim | Married | Teasers

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Christine and Tim’s was my first official wedding of 2012. I started a little later than most wedding photogs I think, BUT i’ll be running through the entire year non stop. I’m glad to know that it didn’t feel like I missed a beat from my last wedding on December 30 last year and I came in with the right mentality. Christine and Tim were so afraid of the rain this last weekend, but we were so lucky the sun came out for an incredibly sunny day on Sunday. In the end finding good light wasn’t hard, just had to work the right angles. I’m excited to show you this amazing set, but once again you’ll have to wait a few weeks. Thanks again for being my first wedding of the year guys! Please enjoy these teasers.
