Danielle’s Debut Court | Irvine Park

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

Last month I took Danielle’s Court for her Debut to Irvine to shoot them together before her big one eight at the end of this month. To me it really was like spending a few hours with a giant wedding party and Danielle was center spotlight. I enjoyed shooting with these guys and getting to know them a bit, it brought me back to the days when I was dancing in these courts and hanging out with my friends in high school. Danielle will be going to Arizona for college and she’ll be doing great big things. I can’t wait to shoot her wedding one day ;) haha Hope you enjoy these photos!

Grace | 50th Birthday | Fullerton Marriott

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

My best friend’s mom celebrated her birthday last month and had me shoot her special day which included special performances, a photobooth, floral decorations, up lighting, and even an ice sculpture. I came early to shoot her getting ready and even do some solos but the real great stuff was all the surprise performances and all the partying afterwards. My parents, also best friends with Grace and her husband, stayed even later than me into the early morning partying with them. It was good seeing all the close family friends and a real change from shooting the weddings and engagements i’ve been posting up recently. Happy Birthday! Please enjoy :)

Grace | 50th Birthday | Teasers

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

So everything is back to working order but we still have a long way to go before the renovation is complete. Were installing new cabinets, stained surfaces everywhere, and new drapes. I’ll take a few photos of the current set up and show you all the progress. But in light of catching up on last weeks shoots, here was one of last weekends events my best friends mom, Grace. She made sure to capture her day with all the bells and whistles. Her mini studio booth photos can be seen here. Enjoy these teasers!

Camille’s 18th Debut | Birthday | Buena Park

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

I’ve grown up attending debuts my entire life and i’ve always seen photographers butcher their coverage. Most of the time at a debut the parents spend thousands of dollars with lavish decorations, an amazing program, a gorgeous cake, a beautiful presentation and all sorts of festivities, ONLY to have it in memory. I’m glad that Camille and her family came to me to capture and literally immortalized their celebration. If your going to spend on a debut or wedding, the most important thing is to have it captured professionally. I guarantee you won’t regret it. Camille and her family really made us feel welcomed. We had great light, a lot of time to shoot, and everything ran smoothly. I couldnt have asked for more. Thank you Christine and Camille for choosing me and thank you again for letting me capture these memories. Please enjoy!

Camille Alvior | 18th Birthday Debut | Teaser

Saturday, July 23rd, 2011

Last Night I enjoyed the company of Camille Alvior and her family who celebrated her 18th Birthday Debut. It was really hard to pick out only a few photos to tease, so I’ve chosen five :D – hooray for being indecisive. Can’t wait to work on the rest!

Gotta credit Todd Laffler for this shot. I’ve always wanted to do it and I found the perfect opportunity here.

Jorel + Ashling | 30th Birthday and Anniversary | Marriott, Fullerton

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

A few weeks ago my brother celebrated his 30th birthday and anniversary with his wife Ashling. We really partied it up at the Marriott in Fullerton, courtesy of Helene Domingo. Just like last Christmas for my dad’s birthday we had a photographer (me ofcourse), a photobooth, video, framed prints, a DJ and the whole shabang. Its pretty convenient having a family in the industry, we can pretty much put together a wedding on the spot, we’d just need a caterer, a florist, and maybe a priest. Looks like we know what the newphews are going to grow up to become! :D Here are some of my favorite shots from the celebration, the rest can be found in my proofing gallery. Please enjoy!

My Dad’s Christmas Birthday Party . Marriott Hotel, Fullerton

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

So my dad turned fifty something today, still looks so young though, and wayyy more in shape than I am. I really need to start gettin back to 24 hour fitness! Maybe in Thailand I can lose some weight in the humidity? haha. So my dad’s birthday is on none other than Christmas Day, we always get him one gift which is the curse of christmas birthday combined, but I try my best to get him something that would be worth TWO gifts. This year i got him a really nice Leather Members only jacket, and he wore it immediately the next day at the Christmas Party. My dad is the rock of my family and when he hosted this party we all came out of the woodwork to put something together. It was a small room with only 30 of his closest friends but we made it into a full fledged birthday event. Talk about connections, and how can we say no to our dad right? So ofcourse I covered the photography, my brother did the impromptu videography, and my sister and her family did the photobooth. Have you ever seen a full team working at a 30 person party?! Amazing stuff, all we needed was a florist, some some rings, and a wedding dress and we would have had a Wedding.

Anywho, it was lots of fun hanging with the fams again, check out my sisters company Flash Life Photobooths. They’re changing the ways of the photobooth so book them as soon as you can. The rest of the pictures can be found on here.

Hope you enjoy!

Danielle’s 18th Birthday Debut

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

I worked with one of my first clients ever again, but this time to do her 2nd eldest daughters 18th birthday debut. Danielle turns 18 on January 8, 2011 and her debut is January 7, 2011. Unfortunately I will not be available to shoot her debut since I will be in Thailand shooting PV and Roses wedding the entire early January. I’m really excited about the thailand trip and have been learning a lot about destination weddings. But planning an international destination wedding is a little bit more complicated then just driving up north or flying to New York. I’ll make sure to share some of my thoughts and some things I’ve learned in future posts. As for Danielle’s debut, good friend and colleague Lawrence Tolentino of lolophoto.com will be shooting it and I’m glad I can refer such a good and professional photographer to Danielle and her family. But I was still able to photograph Danielle’s predebut session with her friends and family for her guestbook, her signing framed prints, and her slideshow. It was really fun working with these guys again. Happy viewing.

Please enjoy responsibly.

Debut, Twitter Feeds, Feedburner, Disqus, the WORLD

Friday, February 5th, 2010

Hey friends, so prior to 2010 I really had no idea how I was going to attack this whole, hey lets change paths in my live, scare the living hell out of my parents, and make everyone think I’m going crazy, PLAN. I had one thing on my side, Passion… kind of? I mean I never knew what I wanted to do in my life, and then now I jump into photography? I’m still kicking myself. – Well I still have passion in my life, but now I think I have direction and a little bit more guidance thanks to a couple people’s help.

One of the cool things I learned these last two months was that popping in links and meta tags etc in my code in these blogs would help my search engine optimization, (SEO), IE for those computer illiterate – so people who search those words would also find me easier. Right? Right?! I know, sounds easy – So the plan is, in the most UNCONVENTIONAL WAY, to throw in random links to people in the middle of my blogs that a total of 60 (SIXTY) yes I said 60! People read a day. LOL so trust me that’s not a lot but to think I went from 3, 4, or 5 people a day to 60 in this month? I’m pretty stoked. ☺. Ok no no lets backtrack a little bit, Jasmine Star, shes the Tom Cruise.. no tom cruise is gone now, she’s the Hugh Jackman of photographers, except she’s female, she gets 100,000 people a day to read her blog, and you’ll be the 100,001th person to read it today. Nice? P.s I love her layout on her page. >< So expect me to be throwing out links of people I meet and businesses I LOVE in the future. HTML code and Google don’t factor in relevance to a site as a factor in their SEO processes, so link wars begin! *Oh yea identity kitchen! <– love this place. Make your own identity for ABOUT, FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. LOL! (don’t say I didn’t warn you)

So I was also searching different websites for great ideas and I ran across some of my friends sites who use WIX. Most of these sites aren’t anything spectacular but one of my friends did some photography for a designer named Steppie ← Her site is nice! I love the playfulness of it really wanted to incorporate some of that into my site. Alah! I don’t know how to code very well! And since I’m not using a easy to do UI like blu domain or anything, I had to figure it out on my own with Dreamweaver. Thanks to Melody Avena of fresh melon designs who designed my site (html based not flash!) I was able to reverse learn how to code and upload to my site. Hence – top right of the screen? Icons! I got it from social icons which HAS EVERY ICON you want in the coolest designs :) This was a huge feat for me, imagine working on figuring out my site for 2-3 hours a day getting nowhere. I have a problem with keeping my computer time productive… instead I end up surfing the web and going on facebook… WELL, TOUCHE, I did it! I even added the disqus comments feature that was on steppies blog, and the (high five) subscribe to me by EMAIL feature on my header from feedburner. ☺ type in your email and click subscribe now guys! i just posted it up and i have 3 subscribers. WOOT… umm including myself. Thanks Steppie (even though she hasn’t met me either)
On the other side of news, I finished Regina’s preview pictures for her debut. I didn’t get as much time to shoot with her, we started shooting at five pm when the sun was about gone but what we did get was great. Hope you like the pictures!

*PS i’m interning for KrisD Mauga from Krashing Motions :)

The Cindy Pingol Debut PREVIEW

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Yesterday night, January 23, 2010 Cindy Catherine Maniti Pingol celebrated her impressive and beautiful 18th birthday debut. 25 tables, over 200 guests, a Chinese and Filipino buffet, and a light and decoration redesign of the Cerritos Senior Center altogether made this night so incredibly extravagant. I guess i’m just trying to say that i was thoroughly impressed by the mulititude of time, effort, and talent put into this celebration. Cindy looked absolutely gorgeous and her court and team of family and friends executed a perfect program.

About 2 months ago Cindy and her mom asked me to cover the debut, I was privileged to work with her court and take them on a pre debut shoot. I was able to make them 2 slideshows, a large frame for guest to sign, a personal guestbook, and cover the entire debut even before arrival. Everything was absolutely gorgeous. Happy Birthday Cindy, Gaby and I had a blast these last two months and were glad we’ve made so many new friends. I hope you love your pictures!
